Spectrofluorometer

This instrument is specifically designed for fluorescence studies of electrochemical samples. It features a broad spectral range, high

measurement sensitivity, and stable light source intensity, making it suitable for fluorescence characterization of both solid-state and

liquid electrochemical samples. The instrument can accurately capture the emission and excitation spectra of samples, using white light

and monochromatic light in the range of 200 to 1200 nm for sample illumination. Its high-efficiency xenon lamp provides an innovative

light intensity stabilization mode, serving as the white light source in the system, and is combined with an AM1.5G air mass filter to

simulate the solar light spectrum.

The sample chamber entrance is equipped with a monochromator featuring automatically adjustable input and output slits

(used to receive light from the xenon lamp source and direct it into the sample chamber). The incident light intensity can be precisely

controlled by adjusting the slit width. A second monochromator is installed at the sample chamber exit to capture the fluorescence

emission of the sample. The output slit is connected to a photomultiplier tube (PMT), which is linked to a controller and counter for

real-time capture of fluorescence photons. This system can precisely define the entire fluorescence spectrum and supports total

fluorescence intensity measurement, enabling simultaneous capture of all emission wavelengths. To reduce stray light, filter wheels are

installed at both the entrance and exit of the sample chamber. By adding supplementary light sources (e.g., a halogen lamp) and an

additional PMT, the spectral range of the system can be extended to 1800 nm. The operation of the entire instrument is automated and

controlled via the intuitive FotoGUI software, ensuring ease of use and high efficiency.
